No doubt about i t , t h e s t a k e s surrounding the worldwide issue of water management are high. Furthermore, global changes (climate change, rising demographics) affecting our planet are making this issue all the more crucial. The need to create value and employment for tomorrow’s world in this sector, as elsewhere, is an ongoing challenge but one for which France has significant strengths and acknowledged expertise. However, we have to maintain this edge in the light of international competition.
The objective of the Water Cluster is to develop and export French technologies and expertise worldwide. Its purpose is to develop the industrial ecosystem, to help with the technical and financial aspects of R&D projects, to ensure a process of innovation, to help get specific projects off the ground and to develop skills by involving research laboratories, training organisations and businesses in order to create value.
The aim of the Water Cluster is to deploy an ambitious strategy of which the primary focus is, of course, the Mediterranean region, but which also has international ambitions; the purpose of Hydrogaïa is to reflect the know-how
